  Anita handled mediation for my divorce. She was very expensive and it seemed we had to check her work. She also didn't confirm with me what name I wanted. So she restored my name to just a first and last name, no middle name which was a problem at the DMV. I asked her to fix it so I could have my middle name back and she offered to do it for another $500.00 for a $20.00 form. She made around $7000 off of us and should have offered to do it for free. I would have never treated a customer that way. I can not recommend her.

  We are clients and we had to go through a hairy custody process with the support of Anita Gumm. She was the best attorney we could possibly get: She's calm, to the point, witty, responsive, professional, smart enough to calm down the situation when it's appropriate, and pitbull-like when it's needed. She reacted instantly to traps and tricks of the opposing counsel in court, on the spot, and won the arguments. She's also a judge pro-tem, which means that she sometimes replaces judges when they're sick etc, which puts her on an eye-to-eye level in a normal court process, and she knows everyone. She also works as a mediator, which brings in a "for the best of the kids" and "livable solutions" way of thinking which is refreshingly different. If you need to fight for the right cause, she's the right one for you. If you are into harrassing your ex just for the fun of it, she won't even take you as a client. Honestly, the best choice we can recommend.

  In July 2015 Anita Gumm took on my divorce and settlement matter, which had previously been worked on by two other firms, neither of which made much progress on it but had happily overcharged for their services nonetheless. In doing so, she stepped into a contentious fight against a well-known Los Angeles law firm that has served Britney Spears and David Hasselhoff. She handled them, their various attempts to bully her, and my case calmly, cleanly and effectively, always standing her ground but never stooping to their tactics. No matter how busy her court schedule, she made time for my phone calls and emails. I came to greatly value her advice. I am now a free woman because of her. She cannot be recommended highly enough.
